hmm. i think today was an unofficial good deed day. =). on my way to outram today. i came across two incidences which made me smile and think of the good heartedness of singaporeans. as i was ascending the escalator. i saw a man bending down. i looked closer and saw an old possibly blind man sitting on the steps. he was carrying a walking stick and decked a pair of sunglasses. this boorish looking man who looked right at home at a typical under-the-block coffee shop, beer in hand and smoking his lungs out, was bending down to help the helpless man. ahh. if a typical ah pek could offer a helping hand i cant see why the rest of us shouldnt.

as i crossed the bridge. and prepared to descend the steps. i heard a baby crying. turned the corner and saw an indian lady carrying a small crying boy. and she was frowning. looking worried. and this chinese lady who could very well be classfied as tt irritating gossip monger in ur friendly neighbourhood was shouting in that well knwn ah soh voice u hear ever so frequently in the market. she was telling the indian lady where she could get treatment if her son was experiencing vomitting or sth. for once her kpo-ness landed her in a circumstance where she was doing a good deed.

simple everyday ppl. who we find so annoying at times. but they are the ones who are doing the good deeds. doesnt tt reflect sth abt us? lets all do some soul searching. and think abt helping others when the situation arises. =)
