debating is such an exhilarating experience. such is the power of words to justify ur stand. whether as an opposition or as a proposition. substantiating your point with statistics and examples. setting up a case and sticking by it. fiercely rebutting the untruths and delivering a final reply speech. summing up ur case and waiting with bated breath to see who has won.

whoa. went for the first julia gab qualifying rounds today to support mai. being in an unfamiliar school yet it seemed oddly familiar. the ever familiar three chairs on the left. another three on the right. and two in the middle.

late as usual and den the chairman's opening lines. 'good evening ladies and gentlemen. welcome to the julia gabriel's debating championships 2005. my name is..' hmm today's debate was a little shallow i felt. no really solid evidence and arguments. i guess there is a difference between sitting in the audience and sitting up there as a debater.

my debates may or may not have been shallow but then again like i said. to me. being up there. everything seems so surreal. all i wana do is go up there and deliver my speech as faultlessly as possible and hear the applause. wah haha. i think my most cherished moment was winning the microsoft debate on our homeground and of course 'it is unanimous that the best speaker is..'

unanimous. tt was the word they used. such a strong and beautiful word. hahaha.

debating is wonderful. ppl speak good english. what a change from the usual lahs and lors. simply an exhilarating. heart pounding. mind spinning experience. sit thru one some time. and marvel at the wonders of good spoken english. =).

couldnt seem to let go of him today. didnt want to let him go. wanted him to stay stay stay. refused to let him go home. sigh. i just love love him a lot. but then again. doesnt everybody? hehe. he's my sweet honeyy baby. and my stinkiee boo. and he's all mine. muahaha. i love love you sweetheart.
